Natural Impressions: Art in Nature - Octopi My Heart Crocheting!
Join us for a beginner-friendly session to learn how to crochet cute little octopus. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or a newcomer, this event is perfect for anyone looking to unwind and connect with nature through art.
The San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy's Natural Impressions: Art in Nature - Octopi My Heart Crocheting, invites participants to use techniques learned the basics of crocheting with Ocean Connectors in the tranquil setting of the Birdwing Open Air Classroom. This event offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature and creativity amidst the serene beauty of the San Dieguito Lagoon.
This class is for students with a basic knowledge of crochet. We will teach and incorporate the following techniques: Slip Knot, Single Crochet, Magic Ring, Slip Stitch, Increase Stitch, Decrease Stitch, and Tying Off.
For students without basic knowledge, please review Crochet for Beginners, and practice the techniques before attending class.
*Supplies will be available or feel free to bring your own!

Birdwing Open Air Classroom is a short hike East on the Coast to Crest Trail from the San Dieguito Lagoon Staging Area it can be tricky to find. The 2801 Via de la Valle address will tell you to go passed San Andres, DO NOT PASS SAN ANDRES. Turn South on San Andres, at the Wells Fargo, turn left down the third [DIRT ROAD] driveway behind the PETCO, it will take you to the off-street parking/staging area.
