Native Plants and Art: The Evolution of a Public Garden. The Bower: A Native Plant Landscape and Sculpture Park located near Shermans Dale, PA in rural Perry County, is open for its 6th year as a public garden. Learn from co-founder Jane Allis how she and her husband envisioned and then realized a new era for the 36 acres they have lived on and loved for fifty years. Engaging with consultants in the art and horticulture world, they created in two years during Covid an entrancing combination of art and nature for young and old to enjoy. What was the process like? Why did they decide to focus on native plants? What have been the rewards and hurdles they have encountered along the way? What does the future hold? Free - Donations are appreciated!
