- Various methods for treating and sowing native seed (Fire-followers!)
- Soils, containers, fertilizers and techniques used when working with small native seedlings
- Cleaning and storing seed for the short and long term
- Taking and preparing cuttings of various native species
- Tips for rooting easier (Hummingbrid Sage) and more challenging (Manzanitas) native plant cutting

After a short tour of our native plant nursery that grows over 75,000 plants a year, folks will be encouraged to get their hands dirty working with various plant species. Specific plants to be worked on depend on time of year, but may include Salvias (Sages), Buckwheats (Eriogonum species), Manzanitas (Arctostaphylos species), etc. Feel free to bring any native plant propagation questions you may have!
