About this Event

The National Weather Festival (NWF) is the largest annual event hosted by the National Weather Center, attracting more than 4,000 guests each year. This free, family-friendly festival showcases the science and safety behind weather, featuring engaging activities for all ages.

Attendees can:

Meet meteorologists from various organizations, including local news stations
See helicopters and emergency vehicles up close
Watch weather balloon launches
See drone demonstrations from research partners
Enjoy exciting displays and hands-on activities for all ages

Visitors are allowed only a small clutch purse (6.5" X 4.5") or a small clear tote when in the National Weather Center.
Prohibited bags include: backpacks, diaper bags, fanny packs, camera bags, purses, luggage, shopping bags, large cameras, or other items that can offer concealment. Please leave these items in your vehicle!
