About this Event

The National Weather Festival (NWF) is the largest annual event hosted by the National Weather Center, attracting more than 4,000 guests each year. This free, family-friendly festival showcases the science and safety behind weather, featuring engaging activities for all ages.

Attendees can:

• Meet meteorologists from various organizations, including local news stations
• See helicopters and emergency vehicles up close
• Watch weather balloon launches
• See drone demonstrations from research partners
• Enjoy exciting displays and hands-on activities for all ages

• Visitors are allowed only a small clutch purse (6.5" X 4.5") or a small clear tote when in the National Weather Center.
• Prohibited bags include: backpacks, diaper bags, fanny packs, camera bags, purses, luggage, shopping bags, large cameras, or other items that can offer concealment. Please leave these items in your vehicle!
