One of the things I love most about my job is mentoring other occupational therapists. I know how daunting the vehicle modifications space can feel when you're starting out.
Questions like...
• What vehicle should they buy?
• How do I know if the wheelchair will fit?
• What modification is the safest option?
• How do I write a report that will actually get approved?
These are questions that come up every day, and they aren't easy ones to answer.
Over the past 10 years I've learnt a tremendous amount through clinical practice, working alongside vehicle modifiers, engineers, wheelchair suppliers and, most importantly, my clients and their families.
This conference is my opportunity to share that experience.
We'll work through real case studies, explore modified vehicles, trial equipment, discuss what works (and what doesn't), and hopefully help you build confidence much faster than I did when I first started.
