Be blown away by the sound of two full brass bands, with players aged 13 to 18.
The 2026 National Secondary Schools' Brass Bands comprises 70 young musicians from 48 secondary schools from Auckland to Invercargill. The two bands have come together for a week of rehearsals and workshops under the direction of Linda Filimoehala (a professional music teacher in Auckland) and Aishah Leitner (from the NZ Army Band and the National Band of New Zealand).
Guest soloists are members of the National Band of New Zealand, cornet player Megan Gooding and percussionist Keina Rollinson, the 2026 National Junior Champion of Champions.
Come along and enjoy an afternoon of entertainment by some of New Zealand's best young musicians.
Children under 12 - free of charge.
