Join Us for the National Recovery Month Event!
Women of Strength has partnered with Communities Talk to host an event for Recovery Month held in September. On its 36th year, SAMHSA and other organizations celebrate Recovery Month through the participation in events nationwide. The goal is bring together all of those who are impacted from behavioral health challenges including both mental health and substance use disorders
The goal is to host various agencies, organizations and other systems for an all day event. This event will include workshop titled “Effectiveness of Community Involvement” to start at 1 pm and conclude at 4 pm offering continuing education hours for those seeking certification and recertification of their licenses, community tables providing information and possible continued collaboration on other projects.

Effectiveness of Community Involvement workshop goal is to help individuals develop more effective strategies in which to help consumers, develop community connections, expand services, increase availability of recovery support services and increase recovery messaging to the business community.
Outline/Agenda
1. Identify issues that cause ineffectiveness in community Involvement
2. Prioritize issues for Level of Importance
3. Analyze and Evaluate Current Community Involvement Within Individual Organizations
4. Assist Organizations with problem solving areas that will help produce immediate results in Community Involvement
