In collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), UH Portage Medical Center will host a one-day opportunity for the public to dispose of expired, unwanted, or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other over-thecountermedications for destruction. This drive-up/drop-off program is anonymous and all medications will be destroyed.
The Take Back event helps residents dispose of unnecessary medicines stored in the home that can be susceptible to abuse and theft, while protecting the watersupply and environment through proper disposal.
Free DisposeRx packets, Narcan, and fentanyl test strip through Project DAWN will also be available to the public to help reduce opioid overdoses.
Free health screenings during Drug Take Back Day!
Inside the main lobby will be free screenings for Blood Pressure and Blood Glucose. Provided by NEOMED's APhA student chapter. Plus a health resource/information table.
Call 330-297-2591 for more information.
