COME ONE, COME ALL!!Friends, supporters, advocates — get ready… Sunday, March 1st is National Pig Day! 🐽🎉
Come celebrate the incredible pigs we work so hard to save. At OA, our passion is advocating on behalf of these amazing animals and creating opportunities for you to connect with them firsthand — to experience their intelligence, curiosity, and gentle spirits up close.
🕚 Farm Hours: 11:00am–4:00pm💛 $10 per person donation (including children) directly supports the animals.
To make this day extra special, we’ll have an exciting lineup of vegan vendors, including Fig’s Farm and Nature’s Plate Food Truck!
Why We’re Using Timed Tickets This Year 🎟️
In order to make this event the best possible experience for both our guests and our animals, we’ve added specific time slots and require tickets to be purchased in advance.
Winter brings limited parking availability, and managing foot traffic helps us:
• Reduce congestion in the parking lot
• Keep walkways safe and calm
• Prevent overcrowding around the pigs
• Create a more peaceful experience for our residents
As a sanctuary, animal well-being is always our top priority. Spacing out visitors ensures the pigs aren’t overwhelmed and that everyone has meaningful time to connect.
When selecting your tickets, please choose your time slot carefully and plan to arrive within that window.
A Few Farm Reminders 🐷
• Self-guided tours are best for children 6+
• No strollers or wagons (they can scare residents)
• No dogs allowed on the farm
• Dress appropriately — this is an outdoor sanctuary
The Kitty Cottage 🐾
After spending time with the pigs, stop by the Kitty Cottage and meet our adoptable kittens!
• Best suited for children 8+
• $5 suggested donation per person
This helps us continue serving cats and kittens in our community who need us most.
National Pig Day Donation Drive 🐽💕
We are collecting:
• Bags of feed
• Shavings
• Produce (apples, carrots, cucumbers, grapes, strawberries, etc.)
• Blankets, towels, comforters
• Gift cards to TSC, Rural King, Lowe’s, Amazon, Kroger, and Walmart
Every item makes a difference.
This is going to be such a beautiful day full of joy, compassion, and celebration. We can’t wait to see you at the farm as we honor these incredible animals together. 💗🐷
