National Philanthropy Day
About this Event
Join the Association of Fundraising Professionals to celebrate the spirit of giving in Northwest Indiana. Awards will also be presented to individuals, businesses, foundations, and organizations that provide significant philanthropic support and leadership to nonprofits across our region.
The AFP Northwest Indiana Chapter invites nominations for the National Philanthropy Day Awards. These annual awards are intended to recognize an individual/couple/family, youth/youth group, company, organization, foundation, and fundraising professionals that have made a significant philanthropic impact on our region. Recipients will be selected from these categories and must commit to personally attending the event to receive their award.
Nominations must be submitted by July 15, 2026.

Here are the nomination categories:
This award honors a local emerging professional fundraiser, with 7 or less years of experience in the profession, who has demonstrated outstanding fundraising success in their career.
This award honors a corporation or its corporate foundation that demonstrates outstanding commitment in NWI through financial support and through encouragement and motivation of others to take leadership roles toward philanthropy and community involvement.
This award honors a foundation demonstrating outstanding commitment in NWI through financial support, innovation, encouragement, and motivation of others to take leadership roles in philanthropy and national, international and/or community involvement.
This award honors an outstanding individual fundraising professional in NWI who works directly for a nonprofit, charitable organization.
This award pays tribute to an individual or family with a proven record of exceptional generosity in NWI who, through direct financial support, demonstrates outstanding civic and charitable responsibility and whose generosity encourages others to take philanthropic leadership roles on a community, national and/or international level.
This award rewards a special individual or family that demonstrates outstanding skills in coordinating and motivating groups of donors and volunteers in NWI for fundraising projects for the benefit of charitable institutions.
This award recognizes service by an individual or group of young people under the age of 30 who demonstrate outstanding commitment to the community through direct financial support, development of charitable programs, volunteering, and leadership in philanthropy.
