We invite you to join us on November 16th for a day filled with vibrant cultural performances, exciting art contests, family-friendly games, creative crafts, and mouthwatering Native American cuisine. This event is a celebration of tradition, community, and the rich heritage of Native American peoples. Here's what you can look forward to:Musiqa Day Masterclass at the Native Heritage Celebration 🎶
Join us between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM at the TDMEC Native Heritage Celebration for a special Musiqa Day Masterclass, presented in partnership with Musiqa Houston! This live session will feature professional musicians leading interactive demonstrations on clarinet, saxophone, and percussion, giving students and guests an inside look at performance technique, artistry, and collaboration.

Youth Chalk Art Contest: Watch young artists showcase their talents as they bring Native-themed designs to life.
Delicious Frybread Meals: Savor the flavors of tradition with our frybread meals, with proceeds supporting TDMEC's mission to provide free music lessons for underserved kids.
Family Yard Games: Gather the family for friendly competition with Giant Jenga, Cornhole, and Yard Speed Scrabble—fun for all ages!
Kids’ Craft Corner: Children can explore their creativity by making dreamcatchers, painting totem poles, and crafting corn husk dolls to take home.
Fundraising Auction: Help TDMEC reach its $5,000 grant foundation matching funds goal by bidding on one-of-a-kind items, including beautifully decorated acoustic guitars and an exclusive water fountain sculpture by Canadian artist Douglas Walker.
Cultural Dance Performances: Be captivated by performances from the Houston Aztec Dancers and the Great Promise Dancers, each bringing heritage and stories to life on stage.
Music Performances: Enjoy live music from the Galveston County Youth Ensemble, and the youth bands of the Attuned School of Music, showcasing the incredible talent of our community’s young musicians.
