What draws people to the library? Everything! From the books, DVDs, to the digital resources to creative programming, libraries are essential to thriving communities. National Library Week is April 6-12, it is a time to celebrate the many ways libraries bring people together, spark imagination and support lifelong learning. The Monticello Public Library invites the community to join the celebration. Whether you are a longtime patron or haven't visited in a while, now is the perfect time to explore all the library has to offer. Monday, April 7- What draws you to the library? Stop in this week & get a square for our mural & draw or write on it what things you like most about the library.
Tuesday, April 8- Let's Celebrate Library Worker Day! Stop in to celebrate with our staff and have a snack.
Wednesday, April 9- Does our Library of Things draw you to the Library? Stop in and see all of the things in our LOT collection. We will have our 3D printer going & you can print anything that is less than an hour for free, one item per person.
Thursday, April 10- The question today is..... What is your favorite book of all time? Stop in to put the title on our board. You might just influence someone else to read it.
Friday, April 11- Thank you for being a patron! Everyone is welcome to come in and get one free item from our gift box.
Kids stop in to pick up a coloring sheet to join in our coloring contest. Bring it back by Saturday, April 12 for a chance to win a colorful prize. All National Library Week events are sponsored by the Friends of the Monticello Public Library.
