Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day on Sunday, June 21, at the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Líl̓wat7úl Cultural Centre (SLCC) in Whistler.
Experience immersive cultural programming, including the Dancers of Damelahamid, Comedian Keith “Bubbas” Nahanee, Spo7ez Artist Market, Cultural Sharing, Storytelling in the Pithouse, Kids Crafts, Interpretive Forest Walk, explore artwork and keepsakes in the Gallery and Gift Shop, and enjoy cuisine at the Thunderbird Cafe.
Throughout Canada, the day brings a time to recognize and celebrate the unique and diverse cultures and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples, and the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre is proud to be the heart of authentic connections to the original peoples of the shared territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Líl̓wat7úl in Whistler.
Kids and Youth (18 and under) receive free admission on June 21 thanks to support from the Government of Canada, the Resort Municipality of Whistler, and Fairmont Chateau Whistler.
