National Emergency Briefing at the Electric Palace

The UK faces a growing climate emergency. This documentary sets out the risks and discusses how best to respond.
Most people have never been fully briefed on what eco-breakdown means for our lives, our economy and our future.
In November 2025, the National Emergency Briefing brought together leading experts to present the latest evidence on the climate and nature crisis to politicians and other influential people in Westminster. That evidence is now on the public record.
The People’s Emergency Briefing brings together people in local communities across the UK to hear the evidence and discuss how to respond - together with their MP.
Businesses, institutions and local councils are also hosting screenings to help take the briefing to wider audiences across the nation and we are delighted to present this film as part of our new Green Screen strand in partnership with Alex Francis and the Quakers.
The film will be introduced by Dr Mike Birkett, local community leader from the Quakers and a post-film discussion will take place in our upstairs meeting room for those who wish to take direct action and be part of the follow-up group.
Free of charge
To maximise public access, we make no charge for the film. For organisations hosting internal or corporate screenings, we invite a pay-what-you-can contribution, using this donation link, to support the project and help us continue expanding its reach. This is entirely optional - our priority being to maximise reach.
