It’s called the EXTREME FESTIVAL – and that’s an understatement. South Africa’s premier Circuit Racing Series stars our hottest racers, competing in and on some of the country’s fastest cars and motorcycles - and the 2026 series blasts off at Cape Town’s historic Killarney International Raceway on Saturday 14 March.
Thrill to the howling of V10 Lamborghinis and the turbocharged scream of the Porsches in the Extreme Supercars driven by Dunlop. Cheer on our local heroes when they take on the country’s best in the SA Touring Car & SATC SupaCup category, South Africa’s premier wings and slicks tin-top race series, featuring Toyota Corollas, BMW 328tis and Volkswagen Golfs.
Expect mayhem in the Astron Energy Polo Cup races; the fields are big, the majority of the drivers are young, and ambitious, and the cars are all identical. Enjoy pure, precision racecraft in the all-South African MSA 4 open-wheeler races and the Sunbet ZX10 Masters Cup category, where the competitors take it right to the ragged edge on every lap!
The Gazoo Racing SA Cup is actually three races in one, as seasoned motoring journalists take on teenage rookies in some of the most unpredictable racing on the calendar.
The off-track entertainment is just as extreme with public karting, drift experiences (are you brave enough?)
fun fair rides, face painting, glitter tattoos, live music,Festival a magic show, a snake show, market stalls and much, much more – all fuelled by food and drink outlets to suit every taste and pocket.
