Where is the event located?
The Carousel is located on the Path to Wellness next to the playground, overlooking the lake. For GPS directions, use Uncle Julio's, 231 Rio Blvd, Gaithersburg, MD 20878.
Is the event free?
Yes! National Carousel Day is free to attend. Carousel rides, food, and select activities require a purchase.
Do I need to RSVP?
RSVPs are encouraged but not required. Be one of the first 250 guests to show your Eventbrite RSVP at check in and receive a FREE Fantasticks Gelato Pop.
Where should I park?
Free parking is available throughout rio. The DICK'S House of Sport Garage on Grand Corner Avenue offers the most convenient access to the Carousel and event activities.
What time does the event take place?
The Carousel is open daily from 10 AM–Dusk. National Carousel Day activities take place from 12–3 PM.
Is the event family-friendly?
Yes! National Carousel Day is designed for families and guests of all ages.

The Carousel is presented by Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center. Proceeds from the day's carousel ticket sales support the hospital's new tower, which brings state-of-the-art emergency and critical care facilities to our community.
