Bierock is celebrating National Beer Day in 2025 with a pair of special tappings.National Beer Day celebrates the passage of the Cullen–Harrison Act legalizing the sale of beer and leading to the repeal of prohibition in the United States.
National Beer Day is April 7, but because Bierock is closed on Mondays, we’re instead celebrating the day known as “New Beer’s Eve” on April 6.
We picked two beers that you're not going to find at every bar in town. We tried to select something that sets Bierock apart as a beer destination.
Coming on the heels of their annual Barleywine Fest, we acquired a keg of Extra Blonde Ale by local favorite, Giant Jones Brewing Company.
The brewery description is as follows…
"Made simply with organic pilsner malt and organic New Zealand Taiheke hops, for a big, bold, fruity, balanced, crisp summer barleywine-style ale!"
Extra Blonde Ale checks in at 10.5% ABV.
We complement that offering with a new release from Alaskan Brewing Company, their Class 5 Pale Ale.

"Class 5 Pale Ale delivers a flood of strong tropical and citrus flavors with an undertow of light sweetness navigating an exciting taste experience. It’s propelled by Australian Eclipse hops bringing the flavors of sweet mandarin, citrus peel, and fresh pine, as well as hints of kiwi and grapefruit."
It checks in at a sessionable 4.5% ABV and 35 IBU.
And on April 6, we’re offering to-go growler fills of Class 5 Pale Ale for only $15 for one day only, a savings of $4.50 off the regular price.
So there you go, two special beers, two very different styles, both amazing in their own right.
