Join us for a one-day celebration of the life, creativity, and artistic legacy of Nathan Wade McCullough (October 20, 1975 – December 22, 2021).
Explore nearly 200 original works from Nathan’s personal collection, including acrylic paintings, watercolors, and drawings spanning decades of his artistic journey. Displayed throughout the beautiful historic First Congregational Church in Burlington, this special exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience the remarkable body of work left behind by one of Burlington’s own.

100% of proceeds from the silent auction will benefit Nathan McCullough’s Memorial Fund, supporting the Artscapes Program at the Art Center of Burlington and helping inspire future generations of artists in our community.

Guests wishing to bid may register upon arrival. Visitors are also welcome to simply browse and enjoy the exhibition.
About Nathan
• Born in Burlington, Iowa
• Lived in Burlington, Iowa City, Des Moines, and spent time exploring California’s Redwoods, New Mexico, Florida, and beyond
• Worked primarily in acrylics while also creating watercolor and pencil works
• A skateboarder, cyclist, adventurer, and lifelong free spirit
• Following a traumatic brain injury later in adulthood, his artwork became even more deeply personal and expressive
• His paintings are colorful, symbolic, abstract, and intentionally open to individual interpretation
