Oman's newest book LIVING ORACLES: LAW AND THE LATTER-DAY SAINT TRADITION (OXFORD 2026) was just published. He is the Rita Anne Rollins Professor at William & Mary Law School, located in Williamsburg, Virginia, where he has been a member of the faculty since 2006. Prior to becoming a professor, Oman practiced law in Washington DC, clerked for Judge Morris Shepard Arnold of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, and worked as a staffer in the US Senate. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University and Harvard Law School. His prior books include Democracy, Religion, and the Market (2023 Routledge) (with Kathleen Flake eds.); Reapproaching Zion: New Essays in Mormon Social Thought (Nathan B. Oman ed., Common Consent Press 2020) (with Samuel D. Brunson eds.).
