The Museum has teamed up with National Geographic through their Slingshot Challenge to offer this free 3-day environmental filmmaking program in Ocean Springs!
Like Walter Anderson, the National Geographic Society uses the power of science and storytelling to illuminate and protect the wonders of our world. Now, it’s your turn.
During the camp, students will learn about environmental issues that affect their communities, and collaborate with artists, storytellers, and peers to create short films that communicate creative and data-driven solutions to these challenges. Students will brainstorm solutions, storyboard their films, and use audio, film, and multimedia tools to create their final 1-minute videos. Completed films will be submitted to National Geographic as part of the global Slingshot Challenge program, entering students to win up to $10,000 in funding.
