As part of Narnia Week at Hereford Cathedral, step through the ancient doors of the cathedral and into the wardrobe for a journey through the timeless tales of The Chronicles of Narnia. This magical storytelling event will invite guests to delve deeper into the connections between these magical tales and the Christian story. Escorted by our very own Narnian characters, you’ll explore the beautiful grandeur of the Cathedral and will hear excerpts from the captivating narratives of C S Lewis’s beloved chronicles read by some familiar figures from the books.
This is more than just a storytelling event - it’s a chance to step into another world, to see the familiar in a new light, and to discover the profound within the fantastical. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to explore the spiritual depths of Narnia in the heart of Hereford Cathedral.
Dress code (optional): all things Narnia!
The event begins at 6.30pm with staggered entry slots every 15mins. Once inside you will be guided in small groups around the cathedral and experience different tales and meet characters from the Narnia Chronicles. The event will last approximately 1 hour.
This event is free but advance booking is essential. We recommend this event is suitable for children aged 5 and up, but all ages are welcome. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the evening.
The route around the cathedral will be accessible, with step-free access and space for prams. Please contact [email protected] if you would like further information about accessibility.
