Η σπουδαία Ιαπωνέζα καλλιτέχνιδα του Butoh Naomi Mutoh
έρχεται για πρώτη φορά στην Ελλάδα,
προσκεκλημένη της Quantum Body – Research & Creation Platform in Somatic and Performing Arts.
Μια σπάνια συνάντηση με μία χορεύτρια και χορογράφο

Περιγραφή:
Το Butoh είναι ένα καλλιτεχνικό κίνημα με επίκεντρο το σώμα που γεννήθηκε στην Ιαπωνία τη δεκαετία του ’60,
ως αντίδραση σε μια βαθιά ιστορική και κοινωνική μεταμόρφωση και επηρέασε ξεκάθαρα τον χορό, το θέατρο, το σινεμά, τη φωτογραφία ακόμα και τη μουσική.
Δεν είναι μόνο μορφή αλλά η μορφή κυριαρχεί έως να αποδομηθεί αμέτρητες φορές.
Είναι μια πρακτική που μετασχηματίζει την αντίληψη του σώματος συνολικά.
Η προσέγγιση της Naomi Mutoh βασίζεται σε μια ευαίσθητη εργασία πάνω στην αντίληψη και την ενέργεια του σώματος,
με στόχο να αποκαλυφθεί η μοναδική αισθητική κάθε συμμετέχοντα/ουσας.
Το σώμα αποκαλύπτει τις δυναμικές του χωρίς να θέλει να τις επιδείξει αλλά περισσότερο τις παρατηρεί να φανερώνονται σαν κρυφός κήπος με το σώμα να οδηγείται οργανικά σε αλλεπάλληλες μεταμορφώσεις.
Το εργαστήριο εστιάζει σε:
– ενεργοποίηση της ενέργειας Ki
– αφύπνιση αισθήσεων και αντίληψης
– εργασία στη φαντασία ως κινητήρια δύναμη της κίνησης
– σχέση φωνής, αναπνοής και σώματος
– “ghost walk” (suriashi)
– μεταμόρφωση και ενσάρκωση
Μέσα από αυτή τη διαδικασία, το σώμα γίνεται τόπος
όπου αναδύονται αισθήσεις, εικόνες και καταστάσεις.
Το Butoh δεν διδάσκει “πώς να κινείσαι”.
Ανοίγει όμως έναν χώρο όπου κάτι μπορεί να εμφανιστεί.

Η δουλειά της Naomi Mutoh αντλεί από μυθολογίες και αρχέτυπα,
προτείνοντας μια μετατόπιση από το “σκοτεινό” Butoh
σε μια διαδικασία μεταμόρφωσης προς το φως
Ανοιχτό σε όλα τα άτομα.
Δεν απαιτείται προηγούμενη εμπειρία.
Προτείνεται ιδιαιτέρως για χορευτές, performers, ηθοποιούς, εικαστικούς και όσα άτομα επιθυμούν να εμβαθύνουν
στην εμπειρία του σώματος ως πεδίο μεταμόρφωσης και να φέρουν αυτές τις ποιότητες και την ισχυρή παρουσία επί σκηνής.
Κατά τη διάρκεια της ημέρας θα υπάρχουν μικρά διαλείμματα καθώς και ένα μεγαλύτερο διάλειμμα για φαγητό.
Naomi Mutoh | Bio
Χορεύτρια και χορογράφος Butoh, γεννημένη στην Ιαπωνία.
Εκπαιδεύτηκε στο Τόκιο από το 1991 και συνεργάστηκε με την Carlotta Ikeda και την Ariadone.
Ζει και εργάζεται στην Ευρώπη από το 1997 και διδάσκει το Butoh διεθνώς
Από το 2007 συν-ιδρύει τη γαλλο-ιαπωνική ομάδα Medulla,
η οποία διερευνά τη συνάντηση του Butoh με τη μουσική, τις τεχνολογίες και σύγχρονες μορφές έκφρασης.

it shifts. It distorts. It transforms.
The acclaimed Japanese Butoh artist Naomi Mutoh
comes to Greece for the first time,
invited by Quantum Body – Research & Creation Platform in Somatic and Performing Arts.
A rare encounter with a dancer and choreographer
who has shaped her path between Japan and Europe through Butoh.

Description:
Butoh is an artistic movement centered on the body that emerged in Japan in the 1960s, as a response to a profound historical and social transformation, influencing dance, theatre, cinema, photography, and music.
It is not only form —
it is form that continuously deconstructs itself.
It is a practice that transforms the perception of the body as a whole.
Naomi Mutoh’s approach is based on a sensitive exploration of body perception and energy, aiming to reveal the unique aesthetic of each participant.
The body does not seek to display its dynamics —
it observes them as they emerge, like a hidden garden,
moving organically through successive transformations.
The workshop focuses on:
– activation of Ki energy
– awakening of perception and the senses
– imagination as a driving force of movement
– the relationship between voice, breath and body
– “ghost walk” (suriashi)
– transformation and embodiment
Through this process, the body becomes a place
where sensations, images and states emerge.
Butoh does not teach “how to move”.
It opens a space where something can appear.
Naomi Mutoh’s work draws from mythologies and archetypes,
proposing a shift from the “dark” origins of Butoh
towards a process of transformation into light.

No previous experience required.
Especially recommended for dancers, performers, actors, visual artists and anyone wishing to deepen their experience of the body as a field of transformation and bring these qualities into a strong stage presence.
During the day there will be short breaks, as well as a longer break for food.
Naomi Mutoh | Bio
Butoh dancer and choreographer, born in Japan.
She trained in Tokyo from 1991 and collaborated with Carlotta Ikeda and the Ariadone company.
She has been based in Europe since 1997 and teaches Butoh internationally.
In 2007, she co-founded the Franco-Japanese company Medulla,
which explores the intersection of Butoh with music, technology and contemporary forms of expression.
