NAMIWalks NJ is an annual walk to raise awareness and funds for mental health. This year, I am participating as the Captain of team 'Searching for Slippers' to pledge my commitment to mental wellness for all, support NAMI programs, and raise funds to ensure they continue. My team's name is also the title of my upcoming memoir, which speaks to the search for a lighter, more peaceful, and more balanced life even when coping with the challenges faced by all those affected by mental illness.
