Join Us for NAMIWalks – Together for Mental HealthThe funds raised through NAMIWalks stay right here in our community. They make it possible for NAMI to answer Helpline calls for neighbors in need, to provide free support groups for individuals living with mental health conditions and their loved ones, and to spread much-needed awareness and education. The need has never been greater—and together, we can rise to meet it.
On October 11, 2025, we’ll gather at Palmetto Islands County Park in Mt. Pleasant, SC to walk for hope, awareness, and change. This powerful event raises funds for NAMI’s top-rated programs while creating a safe and supportive space where people can connect, share their stories, and remember: You are not alone.
For me, this walk is deeply personal. My son, Alex, faced a short but difficult battle with mental health that tragically ended in suicide on December 10, 2019. During that time, NAMI became an incredible source of support, and now I walk to give back. I believe with all my heart that by building community, awareness, conversations, and connection, we can help each other through even the hardest moments.
That is why I have created a team for NAMIWalks. It’s my way of doing something powerful to advance Mental Health for All—and I invite you to join me. Whether you walk, donate, or simply help spread the word, your participation matters.
Together, we can:
• Break the stigma around mental health
• Share resources and education to guide people toward help
• Support families, friends, neighbors, and even strangers
• Remind each other that no struggle has to be faced alone
� Our circumstances may feel overwhelming, but they are not permanent. What is lasting is the strength we find in community. Let’s come together, lift each other up, and keep the conversation about mental health alive. Because healing takes all of us—it truly takes a village
