About this Event
Nakba Day 78 - Unite for Palestine Against The Far Right - Transport from Portsmouth
Book your seat on the coach from Portsmouth and join us as we march together to remember 78 years of Nakba, the illegal occupation and ethnic cleansing of Palestine, organised by the Palestine Coalition.
Shamefully, the police have allowed 'Tommy Robinson', fascist figurehead and vicious Islamophobe, to march in London on Nakba Day. Robinson's content and events are riddled with anti-Palestinian racism. He knows that the mass movement for Palestine that has brought together millions of people for peace, freedom, justice and equality is a direct threat to his fascist project, and he has repeatedly targeted the movement.
In response, Stand Up To Racism has called a national mobilisation to oppose Robinson and the far right, and to stand with the Palestine movement against attacks from both the far right and the state.
The Met Police have handed the political centre of London to the far right, giving them exclusive use of Parliament Square, Whitehall and Trafalgar Square for their hate-fest. The Palestine Coalition and Stand Up To Racism are still negotiating with the police over where our demonstration will be held, but the aim is not to have a direct confrontation with the fascists, but to have the biggest possible march for Palestine and against the far right.
We'll share more details when they are confirmed.

Together Alliance
Stand Up To Racism and Palestine Solidarity Campaign were both central to the Together Alliance that brought half a million people out in London on 28 March. We can change things together. We can show that strength lies in solidarity. That the change we need comes from us working together for hope not despair, for unity not racism.
- Together we can reject narratives of division and racism.
- Together we can build solidarity across communities.
- Together we can unite against the far right.
