This hybrid course includes 2 live Zoom meetings, 5 asynchronous online modules and 2 days of in person clinical training.
Zoom meetings will be held Tuesday, June 11 and July 9, 5:30 – 7:00 EDT
In person training will be Friday July 12 and Saturday July 13, 10AM – 4PM EDT
Requirement for Certificate of Completion: Attend live Zoom Sessions Complete all modules with quizzes Attend in person two-day training Complete and submit the Membership Application Complete and submit the NADA Ethics Pledge Complete 40 Supervised Acudetox Treatments (ears can be done at Serenity House programs, by request)

In person training
Day 1: 10am- Getting an acudetox treatment in a group setting
10:45am- Energy work, the Meridians, the Spirit of NADA & Empty Fire
11:30am- Ear Anatomy & the Five Points (downsizing points)
Noon- Clean needle technique, exposure control plans & biohazard
12:30pm- Lunch
1:00pm- Needling cautions & complications
1:30pm- Ear seeds & beads 2:30pm- 5-NP with the practice ear
3pm- Consent Forms & Ethics Pledge
3:15pm- Needling on each other
5pm- Close
Day 2: 10am- Reflection & Discussion
9:30am- Trauma-informed Care
10am Self-care: Burn out, compassion fatigue & secondary trauma
10:45am Sleep mix tea, herbal remedies 11am Feedback & Data Collection
11:30 am Practicing the 5-NP
12:30pm Lunch
1pm Diversity/Equity/Inclusion/Belonging
1:30pm Practicing 5-NP & Role Playing
3pm Program implementation and sustainability
3:30pm Preparing room for clinic
