BIT is back again with the biggest inter school football tournament of the year from 23rd to 25th January, 2025.In honour of Late Dr. Numair Atif Choudhury, the only son of our Principal, Ms. Lubna Choudhury, we launch the fifth Numair Atif Choudhury Memorial Cup 2025.
The team categories will be as follows:
Girls U-19 - Up to Grade XII
Boys U-14 - Up to Grade VIII
Boys U-16 - Up to Grade X
Boys U-19 - Up to Grade XII
Tournament details:
1) Win = 3 points, Draw = 1 point, Loss = 0 points
2) If two teams have the same points in the group stage, goal difference will be taken into account. If goal difference is also the same, then the cards taken from each team will be taken into account. If it’s still same, then we go for a tie breaker
3) Direct red card or two consecutive yellow cards result in a suspension from the next match.
4) Game type:
Girls U-19 and Boys U-14 : 7 a side for all matches (12 men squad)
Boys U-16 and Boys U-19 : 9 a side for all matches (15 men squad)
5) Game length:
10 minutes per half with a 2 minute half time break for all group stage matches
12 minutes per half with a 2 minute half time break for all knock out games
6) Offside is only applicable for Boys U-16 and Boys U-19 categories
7) Goals are NOT allowed from direct throw ins
8 ) Back pass is NOT allowed
9) Rolling substitutions are allowed
10) Teams must report at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled game. Failure to do so will result in their opposition having a walkover of 3-0
11) All other FIFA rules will be applied.
Rules and Regulations:
1) All players need to bring their school ID cards and school fees receipt. No one will be allowed to enter without a valid ID.
2) Players are requested to bring their Passport//NID Card as a proof of their age. Anyone found guilty of being overaged will be disqualified to play from that category
3) If any player is found guilty of using an invalid ID card or any form of tampered identification, the team in question will be immediately disqualified.
4) One player can only play in one category
5) No repeat students are allowed
6) Girls U-19 and Boys U-14 are allowed to wear turf, but NOT boots
7) Boys U-16 and Boys U-19 are allowed to wear rubber boots. Metal spikes or playing barefoot are NOT allowed
8.) Wearing shin guards is compulsory. The organizing committee will not take any responsibility if a player is injured for not wearing shin guards.
9 ) Referee’s decision is the final decision
10) All forms of vapes, nicotine or drugs are prohibited inside the premises
11) The organizing committee holds the right to take any decision during the tournament or bring any changes in fixtures for any unavoidable circumstances
Important:
- Only spectators from the participating schools are allowed.
- Spectators will be only allowed to enter on 24th January (Friday) and 25th January (Saturday)
- Alumnis from participating schools are most welcome to join
