Join the NAACP Brooklyn Branch for our annual advocacy day at the State Capitol. This pivotal event represents an opportunity for members and advocates from our Brooklyn community to engage directly with state legislators on critical issues affecting Black Brooklynites.

Our agenda centers the advancement of legislative priorities that reflect and support the goals and concerns of our community. The key issues include education equity, justice reform, economic development, healthcare accessibility, environtmental and climate justice; and voting rights, among others. This is a day to make our voices heard, share our stories, and push for meaningful change.

Throughout the day, participants will have the chance to:

• Meet face-to-face with state legislators and their staff
• Participate in advocacy training sessions led by experienced NAACP leaders
• Network with fellow NAACP members from across the state
• Observe legislative hearings and sessions
• Engage in discussions that shape our overall advocacy strategies

This event goes beyond lobbying — it’s about empowering our community, informing our leaders about our priorities, and forging lasting partnerships with policymakers. Your participation and voice are essential to this effort. Together, we can advocate for a brighter, more equitable future for Black Brooklyn.
