Experience the power of the human voice as internationally acclaimed vocal ensemble M•PACT takes the stage at Spirit Animal for an unforgettable evening of a cappella music.
Hailed by the San Francisco Chronicle as “one of the best pop/jazz vocal groups in the world,” M•PACT has spent more than 25 years pushing the boundaries of what can be created with the human voice. The Los Angeles-based six-member ensemble combines intricate harmonies, soulful grooves, vocal percussion and remarkable vocal acrobatics to create the sound and energy of a full band—without instruments.
Blending jazz, pop, soul and R&B, M•PACT has performed at major festivals and concert halls across four continents and shared stages with artists including Ray Charles, Sheryl Crow, Boyz II Men, Natalie Cole and Bobby McFerrin. Their music has also been heard in Disney productions, television and radio around the world.
Over the course of their career, M•PACT has collected an impressive list of honors, including Vocal Group of the Year at the LA Music Awards, Artist of the Year at the Seattle Music Awards and Grand National Champions of the Harmony Sweepstakes. Their recordings and arrangements have also earned recognition throughout the contemporary a cappella world.
But M•PACT is ultimately a group meant to be experienced live. Voices become bass lines. Beatboxing becomes percussion. Harmonies expand into something approaching a full instrumental arrangement. Their performances move effortlessly between sophisticated vocal jazz, infectious pop and soul, deep grooves and arrangements that make it remarkably easy to forget there isn't a band standing behind them.

Venue
Spirit Animal, located inside Hotel Zoso, is Take Five’s premium live entertainment venue — formerly Pretty Faces Nightclub and Sirocco — reimagined as a retro-inspired psychedelic supper club. Featuring state-of-the-art sound and lighting, comfortable table seating, a full bar, and a non-smoking environment, Spirit Animal was built for immersive live entertainment experiences where music hits deep and the vibe runs strong.
