Māyā à la Galerie YellowFishArt présente le travail photographique de Marianne Larochelle, artiste et photographe ,exploratrice de l`onirique . Profondément ancré dans les techniques photographiques anciennes, son travail se déploie là où la lumière, la mémoire et la poésie se rencontrent, révélant un monde suspendu entre présence et disparition.
Sa pratique photographique naît d’une quête : rendre visible le passage du temps à travers la lumière, le corps et la mémoire. En studio, elle crée des espaces d’intimité et de lenteur, où chaque image devient une trace du vivant—un écho de ce qui a été et de ce qui s’efface.
À travers les longues et multiples expositions, se développe un langage visuel qui transforme les contours et brouille les frontières entre le visible et l’invisible, entre le corps et la lumière. Dans cette lenteur assumée, Māyā et le temps s’étirent et se révèlent comme une matière poétique, fragile et vivante. Elle cherche à capter cette vibration délicate qui relie la vie à sa propre disparition, où la beauté et l’impermanence se fondent .
Son œuvre explore la frontière du mystère—cette lisière subtile où le réel commence à se brouiller, où la perception glisse vers la sensation, et où le monde matériel devient poreux. Chaque photographie devient un passage, un souffle suspendu entre les mondes, portant l’intensité silencieuse de ce qui ne peut être entièrement saisi.

Māyā at Galerie YellowFishArt presents the photographic work of Marianne Larochelle, an artist and photographer with more than twenty-five years of experience. Deeply rooted in ancient photographic techniques, her work unfolds where light, memory, and poetry meet, revealing a world suspended between presence and disappearance.
Her photographic practice arises from a quiet and persistent quest: to make visible the passage of time through light, the body, and memory. In the studio, she creates spaces of intimacy and slowness, where each image becomes a trace of the living—an echo of what has been and what is fading.
Through long and multiple exposures, she develops a visual language that transforms contours and dissolves boundaries between the visible and the invisible, between body and light. In this deliberate slowness, time expands and reveals itself as a poetic material, fragile and alive. She seeks to capture that delicate vibration that connects life to its own disappearance, where beauty is inseparable from impermanence.
Her work explores the threshold of mystery—the subtle frontier where reality begins to blur, where perception shifts into sensation, and where the material world becomes porous.
