Mystic’s Masquerade will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm and promises to be an evening of magic, masks, and mystery, as we raise funds for the purchase of additional land to expand our Sanctuary and return some of the herd to freedom!
One special Equine Voices’ horse is very deserving of a chance to live the life and freedom he once knew.
Star’s Wind is a 24 year-old wild mustang stallion who was rounded up by the Bureau of Land Management using helicopters flying at low level to stampede then into a trap. After being separated from his family and traumatized from the experience, the stress continued as he was brought to a holding facility and left exposed to the elements with 100’s of other captured mustangs.
Thankfully, Star’s Wind was adopted from a K*ll buyer auction and lived in peace and safety in Arivaca, Arizona, until his owner passed away in 2024. No arrangements were made for his care, and he was left to survive on his own until it became obvious that he needed additional human oversight to keep him in the best health and safety.
Star’s Wind is a symbol of the spirit of freedom, hope, and healing that Equine Voices stand for!
