The Pendulum has been used as a divination instrument for centuries. When you master the art of the pendulum as a tool of insight it becomes a powerful generator to locate lost objects, receive answers, and can clear your energy field. Dowsing, or doodlebugging is a form of divining. This is the age-old technique of locating water, minerals, and other objects with natural magnetic or electromagnetic energy. The body is naturally attuned to these energies. This is no more mysterious than seeing, hearing, or feeling, and is an ability each of us is born with.

Like mastering music, dowsing skills can be developed through training and practice. Dowsing tools amplify or heighten our awareness of subtle subconscious reactions, potentially from water or other energies. A dowsing tool serves as an interface or communication device. Though there are several dowsing devices or tools, here we are placing our focus on using a pendulum.

A pendulum can be constructed from a simple weight placed at the bottom of a string. It can be as simple as a thread and a paperclip. This is all you need to harness the energy of this effective divination tool. Of course fancier pendulums are available for purchase in shops.
