The Capitol's annual "Mystery Night" returns! This year's feature film selection is a 1946 British classic based on Christianna Brand's novel, "Green for Danger." The film adaptation of the same title follows Police Inspector Cockrill's (Alastair Sim) investigation of a suspicious death on a hospital operating table during a German bombing raid in rural England. This film will be presented via a 35mm film print and will be preceded by the 1928 short subject "There It Is" starring Charley Bowers! This amusing mystery showcases Bowers' signature combination of live-action and stop-action animation. In between these two wonderful movies, we will present an original live-on-stage mystery for you, the audience, to solve! You'll have the chance to interact with each of the suspects during the intermission in your quest for clues. Those who correctly guess the culprit will be eligible to win special prizes generously donated by local businesses. This year's mystery, "A Nest of Secrets," was written and directed by Julie Pierce.
Admission is $8.00 for adults; $7.00 for seniors, students, and military; $6.00 for Capitol "Friends;" and $4.00 for children 12 and under.
