About this Event

Mycocosm is an immersive audio performance, where the audience is invited to lie down in the forest and dream the world through the perspective of fungi. Somewhere between a foray and an embodied meditation, Mycocosm invites participants to let themselves be moved and become fungal. By Isabelle Kirouac & Willoughby Arévalo, in collaboration with Emile Leclerc & Stefan Smulovitz.

Presented as part of The Only Animal’s KIOSK Residency with the Sunshine Coast Arts Council, and DREAM TECH.

Showings run every half hour during the following:

Tuesday, Aug 18, Wednesday Aug 19, Thursday Aug 20: 5:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Saturday Aug 22: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm; 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm + 8:30 pm late show

Tickets: Pay What You Decide

$5, $10, $15. No one turned away for lack of funds. Registration recommended.

Meet at the KIOSK mobile studio. Our team will provide headphones, blanket and an optional sleep mask so you can get comfortable in a shaded part of the farm.

The Art & Fungi Project is a series of artistic projects led by Willoughby Arévalo and Isabelle Kirouac. These projects provide sensory and playful experiences in relation to fungi and how they shape and connect our world, growing the interconnections between communities, the land, and its more than human inhabitants.
