About this Event
My Heros Have Always Killed Colonizers is a concert honoring every global Indigenous warrior who has defended the land, the people, and traditional ways.
This powerful night features Sihasin and Ruby Ibarra, two groundbreaking artists whose music carries the spirit of resistance across generations and borders. Through live performance and movement building, we honor those continue to rise against colonial violence and fight for sovereignty, land rematriation, and collective liberation.
Come build power on the evenning before our annual Thangs Taken: Rethinking Thanksgiving - La Peña's annual celebration of Indigenous resistance and resurgence.
Which colonizers have your heroes resisted?
This event pays tribute to the legendary Center for Political Education event of the same name from the mid-2010s, revived in collaboration with some of its original organizers and artists.
This event is supported by Indigenous Justice.
