My First Compost Lab: Kids Mini Compost Workshop
About this Event
My First Compost Lab is a hands-on children’s workshop where kids build their own mini compost bin to take home.
Children will learn how food scraps, dry leaves, paper, air, water, and microbes work together to create compost. Each child will assemble a small starter compost bin, learn how to care for it at home, and leave with simple instructions for observing their compost over time.
This workshop is designed to be beginner-friendly, educational, and fun for curious young gardeners.
Each child will take home:
A mini compost bin, starter compost materials, and a simple care guide.
Recommended ages: 5–12
Parent/guardian: Required to stay on-site
Doors open: 9:45 AM
Parking: Free on-site parking available. Follow the yard sign with balloons.
