My Craft Workshop-Stitch & Soothe Herbal Comfort Bag
About this Event
Some of the best comfort objects are the simplest. In this hands-on class you'll hand-sew a soft, rice-filled comfort bag with a built-in kangaroo pouch that holds a removable herbal sachet. Warm it in the microwave to relax tight shoulders and a stiff neck or simply tuck it under your pillow for the scent.
You'll choose from a small herbal blend bar to fill your sachet, and we'll talk through what each herb is traditionally used for so you can build one that fits your evening routine. Classic options include lavender and rosemary (warm and grounding).
All stitching is done by hand with a simple running stitch and a whip stitch. If you've never threaded a needle, this is exactly the place to start, and if you're an experienced stitcher you'll be done early and can decorate.
