Join the Muskoka Songwriters Circle!Calling all Muskoka musicians seeking collaboration and creativity! Our Songwriters Circle meets once a month at The Griffin Pub from 7-9 PM in The Nest. This event is a chance to network, engage in creative exercises, share work, and start collaborative projects in a supportive environment.
Do you have melodies running through your head or lyrics in your notebooks? Or are you just eager to create collectively? Whether you're an individual artist or a trio looking to fill out your band, our circle welcomes all skill levels, instruments, and genres—from rock and jazz to folk and classical.
Requirements:
- A passion for creating original music
- Proficiency with your instrument
- The boldness to participate
- Please BYOI if you plan to share a song that evening
Contact us if you plan to bring large setups like a full drum kit; a weighted keyboard will be available for general use. This is a free event, and whether you're here to participate or simply observe, the Griffin Pub provides a relaxed setting where creativity can flourish. Feel free to grab a beer or an appetizer downstairs, then head up to The Nest, our meeting place.
Our focus is on lyric writing and creating dynamic compositions. We strive to create an environment that fosters everyone's development as musicians while keeping the atmosphere fun and engaging.
Each session concludes with an open jam session featuring volunteer musicians, creating something unique together. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned musician, sign up today. We’ll follow up with questions about your instrument, level, and goals. Let us know if you'd like to share a song.
