Music through the Decades - Heritage bus and musical steam train trip with afternoon tea Join us fun afternoon out filled with nostalgic music from the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50s and 60s.
Board our heritage bus in the Kirkby or Sutton in Ashfield area to take an enjoyable trip to Wirksworth in Derbyshire.
Once you arrive at the Ecclesbourne Valley Heritage Railway, we step aboard a steam-hauled train for a full round trip along this heritage line through Derbyshire.
Whilst you get settled in and sip your welcome glass of Prosecco, luxury afternoon platters will to be served to your table. The sweet and savoury treats are accompanied by freshly-brewed tea or coffee. Alcoholic drinks can be purchased from the onboard bar.
During the journey the fabulous vintage entertainer Johnny Victory will be performing hits from decades gone by! There’ll be hits from the roaring twenties, wartime favourites (think Vera Lynn and George Formby!) through to the swinging 60’s and the age of the Beatles!
After your toe-tapping journey along the Ecclesbourne railway, you’ll alight back at Wirksworth station. where your vintage coach will be waiting to take you back to your departure point to round off your superb steam train musical afternoon tea at Derbyshire’s longest railway!
