On Sunday, May 31 during the 10:00 am worship, the First Congregational Church of Ithaca's Senior Choir will perform Part Two of Handel’s "Messiah" at the church, 309 Highland Road. It will also be livestreamed fccithaca.org Part Two is often referred to as the Lenten and Easter Portion of the "Messiah". It features the “Hallelujah” chorus as well as other familiar pieces including “Behold the Lamb of God,” “All We Like Sheep,” and “Lift Up Your Heads.”
The choir is directed by William Cowdery and accompanied by an orchestra of strings, trumpets, timpani, and organ. Soloists are Karen Geer, Lisa Frank, Mark Lawrence, and Geof Royall.
