This week at the Lake Harriet Bandshell we are hosting La Danse Fatale Ballet Company, a dance group. Founded in 2003 by dancer, instructor, and choreographer Julia Levina – La Danse Fatale (LDF) Ballet Company has become a favorite in the performing arts community. Since its inception, LDF has performed in many Twin Cities venues including the Children’s Theatre Company, Eden Prairie Performing Arts Center, Lake Harriet Band Shell, and Staring Lake Park. LDF is comprised of dancers ranging in age between 12 to 18 years old and offers enhanced performing opportunities for serious dancers to accelerate their transition to the professional stage. Since 1892, Music in the Parks has provided residents and families opportunities to gather and enjoy local music throughout the summer. Since its inception thousands of free concerts have taken place. Concerts are weekly and vary from classic rock, hip hop, international, funk and many more genres of music.
