Biographies
Pianist Lisa Leonard is the 2025 recipient of Lynn University’s Deanne and Gerald Gitner and Family Excellence in Teaching Award. She has performed worldwide as a soloist and chamber musician, with highlights including Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3, premieres by Kenneth Frazelle and Joseph Turrin, and collaborations with members of major orchestras. Leonard’s recordings span contemporary, classical, and cross-genre works. Deeply committed to community engagement, she performs with Trio Paradigm and leads outreach through Healing Sounds of Music. She is Professor of Collaborative Piano at the Lynn University Conservatory, where she founded the program 16 years ago.
Flutist Robert Cart is an international soloist and chamber musician who has performed across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, appearing at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, Tanglewood, and Ravello. A champion of new music, he has premiered more than 50 works and records regularly for Albany and Centaur. Cart is Executive Director of the Marcel Moyse Society, serves on national flute leadership boards, and publishes widely on bel canto–influenced flute pedagogy. A Powell Flutes Artist, he presents master classes worldwide. Cart holds degrees from Indiana University and the University of Maryland and has taught for over 25 years.
