Celebrate the spirit of America with an amalgam of global cultures. Jazz, rooted in America’s rich yet difficult history, and Carnatic music, an Indian tradition with its own complex and storied past, are brought together. Indian immigrants carried their music with them as part of a larger cultural legacy, and this performance honors that journey. Featuring diaspora artists, this concert pays homage to the immigrant experience while exploring the vibrant intersection of Indian, American, and global music.
