What is a sacred space? Where can I find it? What will I encounter there?
Asbury Church and Trinity Baptist Church invite you to join us as we seek to encounter the living God through the power, wonder, and joy of inspired music.
Music for Sacred Spaces is a collaborative choral and instrumental concert presented by Asbury’s Chancel Choir and Trinity’s Sanctuary Choir. Two special evenings feature a moving program led by the choirs, gifted musicians from both churches, and the Asbury Orchestra. The program’s selections include “How Lovely Are Thy Dwellings” from Johannes Brahms’ German Requiem; contemporary arrangements of traditional songs and hymns such as “Bound for the Promised Land” and “How Great Thou Art;” instrumental works for worship from the Orchestra; and modern arrangements of songs with lyrical poetry drawn from Scripture.
There will be moments of awe and wonder, reverence and reflection, comfort and consolation, and joy and celebration, with God in the midst of it—creating a place that connects heaven and earth, where you can encounter Him in worship or, perhaps, meet Him for the first time.
Music for Sacred Spaces is a gift to the community from Asbury Church and Trinity Baptist Church. The same concert will be offered at Trinity on September 7 and Asbury on September 14. Both presentations are at 4:00 pm and are free, family-friendly, and open to the public.
