Join violist Kate Middel and cellist Liz Burns, known for their outstanding performances with the Salisbury Symphony, for an afternoon of short pieces written for friends, performed by friends. Says Kate, "Our performance will feature Beethven's Duet for Two People Who Need Eyeglasses (their exact identities remain unknown) and Rebecca Clarke's Two Pieces for Viola and Cello, written specifically for herself and her friend May Mukle after realizing they needed to add another piece to their joint recital. Works by W.A. Mozart, Witold Lutoslawski, and Florence Price will round out the program."Noon-Ten Concerts at St. Luke's Episcopal Church (131 W. Council Street) are free, every Tuesday in April at 12:10 pm during the lunch hour. Come, enjoy the music, stay as long as you want, leave when you must.
