Music at the Spot is back!! Mark your calendars for Thursday April 24th @ 5:30pm with Foolwise

Music at the Spot is a combination of: i) a scavenger hunt to find the actual location, ii) an appreciation of the beautiful green spaces in Baltimore, & iii) a fun concert in an unexpected place outside.

Music at the Spot was originally inspired during the depths of the pandemic to create a space for music to happen outside. I decided to let nature reclaim the spot at Lake Montebello due to two heavy duty bouts of poison ivy last year from cleaning up the space. I've moved to Hampden and have wanted to keep this tradition of hosting concerts in hidden gems in the city!

Foolwise is a folk trio that steers away from oblivion. Their songs give voice to the sorrows we hide away at the cost of joy. Follow William Brauneis, Lizzy Brauneis, and Kai Knorr to forgotten yet familiar places, guided by haunting melodies and close harmony.

This SPOT in Hampden was actually created by the residents along Keswick Road decades ago and fits with my concept of taking a green space, clearing it off trash, creating a path, and beautifying it. The last and final ingredient is music.

So, come one, come all on Thursday April 24th @ 5:30pm to hear music from Foolwise. On your way to and fro The Spot you can win tickets to an upcoming Music at the Square concert and a Baltimroe Honky Tonk event by having the a bag filled with the most trash picked up on the your walk to The Spot.

Mark your calendars for Thursday 4/24 at 5:30pm. Be prepared to walk a) down little hill or b) through a short field to follow a few scavenger's hunt clues to find this hidden gem of a space. More details and musical pied piping hints await...
