🕐 1:00 – 4:00 PM
💲 $50 per person
👥 Min. 3 | Max. 10 students
You'll learn the basics of mushroom anatomy and classification, beginner-friendly identification by genus and family, and, for safety, a few deadly poisonous species in detail. Then it's hands-on: learn to grow mushrooms on logs and in garden beds, and inoculate your own log for the Hagood Mill mushroom garden, so you can come back and watch your mushrooms grow. We'll also walk the property looking for wild mushrooms.
What to bring:
• Notebook or materials for taking notes
• Old shoes (hot wax is used during inoculation and may drip)
