Mushroom Foraging Class - Learn the Basics!

Forage wild mushrooms and up your hunter-gatherer ways! You'll learn how to identify the most easily distinguishable edible mushrooms in the region, what kinds of habitat in which to find them, and basics about equipment and etiquette. You'll be just in time for Chanterelle season here in the PNW! This class is for the beginner or for those who just want to learn more about what they might already know.

Our class leader, Matt Houghton, is the owner/operator of Valley of Giants Nature Tours in Quinault Washington, and has been a forager/wilderness guide for many decades

Our full kitchen and bar will also be open during the class.
