Join Sayali Abhyankar for a cozy, creative afternoon at the Morton Museum as we explore the ancient art of Madhubani painting through the lens of fall’s vibrant transformation. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create a piece inspired by the brilliant turning leaves of autumn—capturing their warmth and motion using the bold lines, patterns, and earthy tones of traditional Madhubani style.
In Indian art and culture, trees often symbolize life, connection, and the cycle of time. As their leaves shift from green to gold, orange, and red, they remind us of beauty in change and the richness of seasonal transitions.
Whether you're a beginner or experienced in painting, this workshop offers a colorful way to connect cultural tradition with the magic of a Mid-South fall. All materials will be provided, and you’ll leave with your own hand-painted Madhubani fall foliage postcard!
