Museum Muses: Gond Style Ocean Scene
Slow down, settle in, and let creativity take the lead during Museum Muses: Gond Style Ocean Scene at the Morton Museum of Collierville History.
Led by artist Sayali Abhyankar, this hands-on workshop invites participants to explore the fluid and vibrant world of Gond art, a traditional folk style from central India. In this session, guests will dive into the movement and rhythms of the sea, using the style’s signature dots and dashes to bring life to an ocean-inspired masterpiece. Much like the waves themselves, no two designs will be alike, each reflecting the artist’s own perspective, mood, and imagination.
Whether you’re new to Gond art or simply looking for a peaceful creative escape, this workshop offers a welcoming space to experiment, reflect, and create something beautifully your own.
